The Asia Foundation supported Gyeonggi women entrepreneurs’ access to market

June 19 - September 9, 2021 - The Asia Foundation provided a comprehensive support program, “Revital Coaching,” for women entrepreneurs in Gyeonggi province to support their access to market and to enhance their capacity in digital marketing from June 19 to September 9. The program was implemented in cooperation with Gyeonggido Job Foundation and coaching group named KINSDAY, which consisted three experts (CEO Shin Hyunjung from KINSDAY, Co-Founder Kim Bosun from Asiance, and CEO Hyun Yoori from LivingD) in marketing strategy, branding, and access to market channels. A total of twelve women entrepreneurs in the region representing 30kmperhour, Chutney Project, Dearmantic, Kwangjin Co., Leather K, minfactory, PERSNINE, SOLEMAMAN, TIA, TUCK, TOF, and YURICOS INC participated in the program.

 

The participating women entrepreneurs were able to establish their business vision and apply ESG into their business strategy, specify marketing strategies, expand opportunities of access to market including meetings with buyers, and visit other established enterprises through the program. The program provided training sessions on ESG and strategies in branding and market access, tailored group coaching on digital marketing, and 1:1 coaching to develop Investor Relations material and set Key Performance Indicators in accessing new markets. In particular, Leather K showed an immediate increase in their sales through newly developing their webpage, strengthening curated contents on their SNS channels, and entering into Frip, a platform for experiential activities; SOLEMAMAN showed an 2.5 times of increase in their sales from their webpage in result of the coaching; and minfactory was awarded with Silver and Bronze Prize at the 2021 Korea International Women’s Invention Competition with their products on which she was coached for product branding. At the wrap-up session with The Asia Foundation, the coaching group of KINSDAY, and the Gyeonggido Job Foundation, the participating women entrepreneurs were highly satisfied with the program with next comments:
