| The Asia Foundation Hosts Australia-Republic of Korea-United States Trilateral Dialogue |

In cooperation with the Perth USAsia Centre in Australia, The Asia Foundation hosted an Australia-Korea-United States Trilateral Dialogue on December 16 and 17, 2021.
The dialogue was conducted virtually with participants including James Choi, former Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Kathleen Stephens, former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, and Representative Park Jin, member of Korea`s National Assembly.

During this meeting, scholars, policymakers, and government officials discussed key issues in improving and strengthening relations between the three countries. The dialogue was funded by the Australia-Korea Foundation and supported by the Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI).

The Asia Foundation Hosts Trilateral Discussion
on Vietnam-Republic of Korea-United States Cooperation |

The Asia Foundation organized a trilateral dialogue focused on the Vietnam-Korea-United States relationship on December 9 and 10, 2021 in cooperation with the National Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The meeting provided an opportunity for scholars, policymakers, and government officials to discuss key political, security, economic, and trade issues important to improving and strengthening trilateral relations.

The key participants of this dialogue included Park Jin, member of Korea`s National Assembly, Harry Harding, university professor and founding dean of the Batten School of Leadership at the University of Virginia and Pham Quang Vinh, former Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States and president of the Vietnam - U.S Society.
The dialogue was made possible through the financial support of the Friends of The Asia Foundation in Korea. The Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI) also provided support.

Social Enterprise Connecting Artists and Buyers Online Supported

The Asia Foundation supported Gallery360, a woman-owned art-technology company to raise 30 million KRW, as part of its access to finance program to support women entrepreneurs. CEO Shin Hyo Mi founded the company to serve underprivileged artists and provide a better experience with art for everyone. Ms. Shin said, "There is a demand for virtual gallery service in the world and I believe this business has potential." The company is now preparing a global service for English-speaking countries.

Project Supported by The Asia Foundation Reaches 4,700 Beneficiaries
to Prevent and Support Women Victims of Violence in Mongolia
|

The Asia Foundation has supported the project on violence against women in Mongolia with funding from The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of Korea. The project provided preventive education, awareness-raising campaigns, rehabilitation support services, and vocational training for the victims.
|
|
|
|
In 2022, The Asia Foundation will continue to support the violence against women project in Mongolia. The project aims to help improve women's rights and empower women.

The Asia Foundation Organizes a Watch Party to Celebrate President
Eun Mee Kim's Chang-Lin Tien Award |

The Asia Foundation presented Dr. Eun Mee Kim, President of Ewha Womans University, with the Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Leadership Award for her contributions to international development cooperation and academia. During the awards event held in San Francisco, a congratulatory letter from former Secretary Hilary Clinton was read. Also, Yo-Yo Ma, President`s Leadership Awardee gave a special performance.

Coinciding with the event held in the United States, a "Watch Party" was held in the presence of distinguished guests in Seoul to celebrate President Kim`s award.
